The Holy Spirit ... Here ... Now

We generally call Pentecost the birthday of the Church because the church was birthed with the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit didn’t come to everyone at first; the Holy Spirit came to the disciples who were gathered to pray in the upper room, the people who were prepared and waiting for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s appearing among those gathered in the upper room was a distinguishing mark of the people belonging to God.

Reality Of Faith

As speaking in English is hard it will be hard for the rest of my life. There are some words that are a little harder for me to pronounce. For example, for me, the word meaning paper, “sheet” is hard. If I pronounce the vowel of the word shortly, the meaning of the word becomes totally different. And the word “beach” is another example. The subtle difference of the length between long vowel and short vowel make such a big difference in its meaning.

Rich Towards God

There was a very rich man who was just about to die and he wanted to take some of his wealth with him. So he started negotiations with God about the matter. God was not sure as it had never been done before and God did not want to set a precedence. Finally after long talks God reluctantly agreed to allow him to bring his wealth to heaven.

It Is Enough

Katie went to Uganda for 3 weeks when she was a senior at high school. One morning when she opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was all the kids around her bed waiting for her to wake up. As soon as she opened her eyes, all the kids around her smiled at her with white teeth. Right at that moment, she fell in love with the kids and Uganda. So she went back to Uganda after graduating from high school to love the nation and the people.
